IACLEA Annual Scholarship Recipient
Nicholas Griswold of Purdue University is the 2008 IACLEA Annual Scholarship recipient and received a scholarship of $750. Nick is a senior with an anticipated graduation date of May 2009. His major is Aviation Management, with a minor in Organizational Leadership. Nick is part of the Purdue Student Security Patrol (PSSP), which is a group of specially trained students who offer evening escort services to students and staff. PSSP also provides extra observation in parking garages and other areas of the Purdue University campus. One of Nick's strong interest is to keep his fellow students safe. In addition to his work with the Purdue University Police Department, Nick is the Alpha Kappa Lambda Risk Manager and the Director of Risk Management for the Interfraterntiy Council. Through these positions, he is able to promote safe behavior; responsible drinking; adherence to all local, state, and federal laws; and rape prevention. Nick coordinates his activities with the members of the campus police force and the Office of the Dean to accomplish his goals. Nick maintains a very high GPA and has been on the Dean's List/received semester honors virtually every semester while enrolled at Purdue.
