Protest Preparation and Response Training Regional Workshops

$70-Member | $150-Non-member

 

Law enforcement must carefully balance the First Amendment rights and other civil liberties of individuals with the interventions required to protect public safety and property. Planning for a safe protest or demonstration can be a daunting process and should begin as early as possible. This day-long classroom based training will examine what is needed to properly prepare and respond to protest and demonstrations. This training will include discussions on:

  • The First Amendment
  • History of Crowd Management
  • Crowd Tactics
  • 21st Century Crowd Management
  • Crowd Dynamics
  • Planning and contingency plans (planned and unplanned events)
  • Incident Action Plans (IAP’s)
  • Teams and team tactics
  • Types of Resisters
