Mainstay and new programs have been reimagined to bring you the NEW IACLEA Leadership Development Institute. Each class will be for 2 1/2 days and held virtually. Attendees will be issued a certificate upon completion of the individual courses.

IACLEA’s certificate program will cover the fundamental information needed to make a successful transition to leading a campus agency. The curriculum will provide valuable insights into the role of the police and public safety executive in an academic setting, the uniqueness and complexities of colleges and universities, campus culture and student expectations, public relations and how to avoid major pitfalls, strategies for building internal partnerships and robust support, crisis and emergency management, mandatory regulatory compliance, round table with federal partners and how to secure resources, roadmap for the first 180 days, IACLEA’s mentorship team, program review and prioritization process, and more!

The certificate program is designed for the first-line public safety and law enforcement supervisors. It is developed for senior officers, mid-level supervisors, corporals, and sergeants. It is a useful course for individuals recently promoted to those positions and a valuable preparatory course for those seeking to advance to supervisory roles.

This mainstay certificate program is intended for public safety executives as part of our Leadership Development Institute continuing education series. Key components of this delivery include leadership development, decision making, community partnerships development, hiring and retention, as well as wellness and resiliency. This 3-day course will be delivered by IACLEA’s nationally renowned subject matter experts and will encompass best practices, as well as emerging issues being faced by the field.
