Bomb Threats on Campus: Preparedness, Response, and Recovery

This course equips public safety professionals, campus officials, and emergency responders with the knowledge and strategies to effectively manage bomb threat incidents in educational settings. Participants will learn how to assess threats, coordinate with law enforcement and campus partners, and implement safety protocols that prioritize the protection of students, staff, and facilities. The course covers preparedness planning, communication strategies, evacuation and shelter-in-place procedures, and recovery considerations following an incident. Learners will develop the skills to enhance readiness, ensure coordinated response, and support campus resilience in the aftermath of a bomb threat.
