Public Safety New and Aspiring Chiefs on Campus is designed to equip new and aspiring campus public safety leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the unique challenges of higher education. This comprehensive course covers key areas essential for success in an executive role, including building community partnerships, fostering collaboration, and understanding campus safety dynamics. Participants will explore critical topics such as emergency preparedness and management, responding to student mental health crises, and balancing role expectations with leadership responsibilities. Additionally, the course emphasizes the importance of personal and professional wellness, providing strategies for maintaining resilience in a demanding field. With a structured roadmap for the first 180 days, this program offers a practical framework to help new chiefs establish a strong foundation and lead with confidence.
