Interview Techniques is designed to prepare public safety professionals for the structured interview phase in their day-to-day events and suspect based questioning. The course covers common competency-based questions, communication techniques, and interview strategies, enabling the officer to utilize when speaking to witnesses, victims or persons of interest. It also discusses the legal and ethical side of the interview.
